Hazard Saga Nears its Conclusion

It appears Belgian star Eden Hazard has decided which club he will start next season at.

Lille's playmaker has his heart set on a move to the Barclays Premier League, with United, title winners Manchester City and European champions Chelsea vying for his signature.
The 21-year-old tweeted today: 'good afternoon guys. i made up my mind. see you later. thanks'.

However, despite rumours in the past week that he would choose Old Trafford, it seems the highly-rated youngster has settled on a move to Stamford Bridge, with betting odds slashed to 1-6 on to join Chelsea. Ex-United striker Louis Saha also tweeted suggesting Hazard was on his way to West London: '(Hazard) Apparently on his way to Chelseafc'.

An announcement on his future is expected later today.

United Get Their Man?

After the disappointment of losing out on the Premier League title to arch rivals Manchester City, it seems United have got one over the new Champions, by luring starlet Eden Hazard to the Theatre of Dreams. According to an English source, the Belgian international has been convinced by Sir Alex Ferguson to choose Old Trafford over teams like Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham.

Should the 21 year old make a late change in a saga that has dragged for months, United have other targets lined up, such as the likes of Iker Muniain, Kwadwo Asamoah, Shinji Kagawa, Yohan Cabaye and Robin van Persie. The transfer for Hazard is estimated at forty million for a five-year contract, having rumoured to have turned down a £140,000 a week deal with City. More news will filter through over the next few hours.

Van Persie to Old Trafford?

Alex Ferguson could be ready to line up an incredible swoop for  Arsenal's goalscoring sensation Robin Van Persie.

The Dutchman is out of contract at the end of next season, and so the Gunners may be willing to cash in on the PFA Player of the Year. However, Van Persie has been linked with many clubs across Europe, including Manchester City, Juventus and Barcelona, and United have added themselves to the race for his signature.

The highly demanded star has scored 30 Premier League goals in 37 games this term, and also has 12 assists to his name, displaying that Van Persie's addition to the squad would bring even more creativity and goals to United's game. The fee is not certain, but the 28 year old won't be cheap, even in the final year of his contract, with suggestions of £30million+ offers being prepared.

Title Slipping Away

After 37 games of grueling Premier League action, the season comes to its conclusion this weekend with Manchester City in the driving seat to claim victory.

After the 1-0 derby win for City followed by a vital 2-0 defeat of Newcastle, City have 2 hands on the trophy going into their final home game of the season at relegation-threatened QPR. On the other hand, United travel to Sunderland knowing City must drop points for them to have any realistic hopes of lifting their 20th league title.

However, hopes are very slim, with United's arch rivals being so strong at the Etihad all season, and QPR being so poor away from Loftus Road. It seems that the reigning Champions have thrown it away, and will have to accept defeat to their blue half of the city.

There are key moments throughout the season that have cost the Reds, none more so than the 4-4 draw against Everton, when 3 points were seemingly in the bag at 4-2 with 10 minutes to play, but with the campaign having multiple twists and turns already, maybe there is one last surprise before the season's out.
